RODOPI CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

The Commercial & Industrial Chamber of Rodopi, is one the oldest Chambers of the country. It operates in the Prefecture of Rodopi - in the "of the border" area of Thrace. It makes great efforts for the economic, intellectual and cultural development of the region, considering that Thrace and especially the Prefecture of Rodopi has the required advantages to succeed. Naturally it has the full support of the State, which from one part must identify its particularity and from the other part its privileged position in the greater geopolitical region.

The Commercial and Industrial Chamber of Rodopi, was established by the Royal Decree of the 5th of October 1921, which was published in the Government's Gazette 192/Issue 8-10-1921.

Since then the Chamber aims at:

  • Continuing the efforts on the region's development and solving the problems of the enterprises.
  • Implementing Communal programs
  • Informing the entrepreneurs of the Prefecture of Rodopi in various matters
  • Improving and enriching the Chamber's newsletter
  • Supporting and strengthening the Greek Commercial Fair "Thrace", and institutionalizing it as Balkan Fair.
  • Cooperating with the authorities and organizations of the city regarding the social and economic development of the region.

RESEARCH ACCOUNT FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF MACEDONIA

The University of Macedonia's Special Account for Research Funds was established in 1983 with the aim of managing and utilizing funds for scientific research, education, training, technological development and innovation, and providing related services to the fulfilment of its purpose.

The purpose of the Special Account for Research Funds is to manage and allocate funds coming from any source, as well as from its own resources, with a view to covering any kind of necessary cost for the needs of carrying out research, education, training, and development projects, as well as for projects of continuing training, seminars and conferences, projects providing scientific, technological and artistic services, specialized and clinical studies, performing tests, measurements, laboratory tests and analysis, provision of consultation, drafting standards for third parties, designing and implementing scientific, research, cultural and development programs as well as other related services, for the benefit of the University.

All the above are carried out under condition that they are performed by the University's scientific staff, with the assistance of specialized scientists, for the benefit of the University and with a view to contributing to the production of scientific research.

The administrative and management bodies of the Special Account for Research Funds are the following:

a) The Research and Management Committee of the Special Account for Research Funds;
b) The Head of the Research and Management Committee of the Special Account for Research Funds

The Financial and Administrative Support Unit of the Special Account for Research Funds is the responsible department for the provision of administrative support and financial management of the Special Account for Research Funds.

AGENCY FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT-BANSKO

Economic Development Agency Bansko is a nongovernment organization which objectives through dialogue and implementation of joint activities between local governments, the private sector and NGOs to contribute to economic and social development of the region of Bansko. Our mission is to support local administration, private sector and other interested parties in the formulation and implementation of strategies, policies and programs for economic and social development of the region. To achieve its goals, EDA Bansko perform activities not only in the municipality of Bansko, but also in the Blagoevgrad region in search of partnership development in the region as a whole. LOCAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY – RAZLOG

Providing information on SME training programs, seminars, business meetings, presentation of companies and products. Consultations in the field of strategic and business planning, preparation of marketing plans, business management, starting and managing a small company, quality management, human resources management, project development and management. Information technology and web design. Information for business delegations, international fairs and forums. Contacts with potential foreign partners. Specialized assistance and contact with local authorities and business representatives in case of declared investor interest. Presentation of Razlog and the region to potential foreign investors. Maintaining and providing a database for Bulgarian and foreign companies, embassies, non-governmental organizations, media and local authorities.

LEDA Razlog seeks to establish conditions for sustainable economic development of Razlog and the region. The Agency supports the capacity building of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through the impartial provision of information, advisory services and training. The agency encourages networking to attract investment to the region and improve employment opportunities.

Our Goals:

  • To support SMEs, innovation and economic development.
  • To work to attract foreign investment.
  • To offer alternative forms and programs for reducing the unemployment rate.
  • To assist local and state authorities in preparing regional development plans.
